First Half Flurry Propels Stockade FC Over Hartford City, 3-0

Kingston, NY — Stockade FC used a first half flurry of goals to defeated rivals Hartford City FC on Saturday night at Dietz Stadium. Stockade FC welcomed a large crowd of 467 fans, who witnessed a dominating first 45 minutes for the boys in Orange.

Sam LaTorre (Marist) opened the scoring just 5 minutes into the match as Paterson Kabore delivered the perfect set piece off the corner kick. 

Vinny Colantuono would double the Stockade FC advantage in the 21st minute as Scott Zobre sent him through to goal 

Colantuono would add his second goal of the match only 3 minutes later. Zobre, again, would apply the assist that saw Colantuono provide a beautiful touch to lob the ball over the Hartford keeper for a 3-0 lead.

Ultimately, the halftime lead would hold as Dylan McDermott (Marist) and the Stockade FC back line registered their second consecutive shutout to open the season.

Stockade FC improves to 2-0-0 on the year and will travel to Boston City FC next Saturday, May 22, for a 1PM kickoff at Harry Della Russo Stadium in Revere, MA. 

Stockade FC returns home to Dietz Stadium on Saturday May 29th for a 6PM kickoff with Valeo SC.
