Poughkeepsie, NY – After seven seasons on the field for Stockade FC, one of the club’s most decorated players is making the transition to the sidelines, joining Jamal Lis-Simmons’ coaching staff. Scott Zobre has been named Stockade FC First Team Assistant Coach, after amassing 14 goals and 11 assists in his 50 career matches for the club. Zobre, a Poughkeepsie native, ranks in the top-5 in club history in goals and assists.
“We are delighted to announce that Scott will continue to work with the club and bring his knowledge, experience and competitive edge to the sidelines,” said Technical Director Dan Hoffay.
Zobre will replace longstanding Assistant Coach Jim Ventriglia, who has decided to step away after 4 seasons with the club.
“Adding Scott to our staff will continue to drive our club forward. His experience and knowledge of the game will help our players and coaches a tremendous amount. We couldn’t be happier to keep him in the family,” added Stockade FC Head Coach Jamal Lis-Simmons. “I’d like to thank Jim for his years of expertise and support to our club.”
