Stockade FC Announces Partnership with Highland United FC

Kingston, NY– Kingston Stockade FC is proud to announce a partnership with Highland United FC.

Highland United FC, a community driven organization that has been in existence since 1982. Originally named Highland United Soccer Club, the not-for-profit organization has a mission of fostering personal and athletic development, on and off the field, through values of integrity, trust and hard work.

“As a product of Highland United Soccer, it is a great honor for me to be involved in helping the current administration, coaches and players to reach their full potential. Highland has always been a hotbed of soccer talent in the Hudson Valley and Stockade Futures will help restore the club to its previous glory,” said Stockade FC Technical Director Dan Hoffay.

Currently, Highland United FC is comprised of over 150 kids in their recreation program. They look to expand back into the travel soccer world this upcoming fall season.

“As a kid, I started my soccer playing days with Highland Youth Soccer.  Now, all of these years later, the opportunity for the Highland community to join forces with Stockade will help create an environment and a platform to help the next generation of local kids meet their full potential,” said Stockade FC First Team Head Coach Jamal Lis-Simmons. “This is a very exciting partnership!”

Highland United FC becomes the second Hudson Valley club named as a Stockade Futures Affiliate. The club will have access to Stockade FC curriculum and work directly with Stockade FC coaches and staff for assistance with coaching education, player development, recruitment, branding, social media content creation and more.

“Kingston Stockade FC is precisely what Highland United needs. Their willingness to support clubs at the grassroots level is a win-win; the local clubs will thrive, and the Stockade teams will consist of more and more players from the surrounding local communities,” said Jason Valentino, Highland United Vice President. “We can’t wait to move forward as a Stockade Futures club!”
